Last season was a huge success for the Fierce Esports CS:GO squad. We reached 69th in the HLTV world rankings, qualified for the MDL Relegation via Advanced Division playoffs, and finished 1st in the ESL Premiership Online Stage—winning all of our seven matches.
But at the season’s end, we parted ways with three key players; Tramaine ‘stan1ey’ Stanley, Adam ‘ec1s’ Eccles, and Alexander ‘AlekS’ Andersson. Without those guys none of our recent achievements would have been possible. We thank those three players for their contributions, and wish them the best of luck moving forward.
But on Wednesday 14th August, we announced our new-look roster. We added Aleksa ‘Impulse’ Stankic, Nemanja ‘k1Ng0r’ Boskovic, and Ardis ‘ardiis’ Svarenieks.
Impulse is building a reputation as one of Europe’s most menacing AWPers. He is formerly of Endpoint and Valiance, and has already shown his immense talent for Fierce in a recent ECS qualifier against Nordavind. And as co-IGL, he has showcased his excellent leadership and decision-making ability.
The community is excited about what Aleksa can bring to UK CS:GO—and rightly so. It’s only a matter of time before people see just how lethal Impulse can be.
Also formerly of Endpoint, ardiis is one of the UK’s top riflers/AWPers. He recently won the ESL Premiership Summer Finals with his old Endpoint squad, despite the fact they put a team together at short notice.
Ardis’ talent is undeniable. And his self-professed hunger to compete at a high level bodes well for the future of Fierce Esports.
Nemanja is the most experienced player on the team. Like Impulse, he hails from Serbia, and has been competing professionally in Counter Strike since CS 1.6.
K1Ng0r brings bags of CS knowledge to the team that can only be acquired over the course of such a long professional career. We will surely resort to his veteran presence throughout the course of the season.
These are three formidable additions for Fierce Esports. Astroo and frei have found new playmates, and the future of Fierce CS:GO looks bright.
